Kenwood ts-2000 filter problem serial numbers

The Kenwood TS manual doesn't state the RX voltage, or TX current that pin uses, but if it's like my TSs, it's well within the capability of any of those transistors. Isn't that what were supposed to be able to do? The only downside, is that when the PC boots, it may key the radio. But the Kenwoods have a nice menu item to disable any transmission. Menu item 27 on my TS, item 54 in the TS I don't have Windows in the shack now, but it could perhaps work on Win10 too, I don't have access to a Win10 box to try.

Under Linux, we have the ability to create and use "Udev Rules". But that's beyond the scope of this list. Else, you have to use the "Path" to the device, and that will change if you plug something into a different USB socket! Job done. During my investigation I found that ptt keying with one comport to the ts2k did work but it was not possible to use the acc2 audio input. This was caused by th fact that the ts2k command set through rs only have one command, which actually blocks the audio from the acc connector.

Hardware wise one can access this 2 possibilities using the backpanel connector of the ts2k but not through the rs port.

I solved this problem using a different comport for the pttswitching of the radio. Br and thanks agn. Execute the Setup. Once installation begins, follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation. Updating: Click to read the firmware updating procedure. Uninstalling : Select "TS Update" in "Uninstall a program" in the Control Panel and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the software. If you agree with the details listed above, click the following link to download the firmware updating program.

The latest version includes all previous updates. Global Site. The All-mode Multi-bander TS series firmware has been updated as follows. This would indicate that hte radio was made in The first number minus 1 seems to equal the last digit of the year in which the radio was made.

In the case of other radios you must be fairly aware of the years during which the radio was made. In other words an 8 million serial number on a TS means that it was made in becuase they weren't made after 91 or so. Now the dillemma. The TS has a serial range of 10 million during which some very significant changes were made to the design of the radio, such as soldering in the eprom to eliminate erratic problems. You naturally want to get that latest serials that exist for a certain radio to get the most recent updates to its design.

I recently acquired one with a serial number of 20 million. Does anybody have a clue as to when this radio might have been made? Am I to assume ? Is this method of determining age accurate for Kenwood?
