Defilerpak codec

That's it. If you are going to encode DivX or XviD then install those codecs individually. All of the above are available for free over in the tools section. MOV usually requires quicktime, but it's such a spyware biatch to deal with. RM is even worse for spyware. Thank you Gazorgan, for the info. I have tried all I can find with zero luck Can anybody tell me how to remove all codec from my machine and start over? I just installed Nimo codec pack.

Uninstall nimo and install the k-lite codec pack. It's much better. OK, I have k-lite installed now I told you, but oh well. Do you want to know why you can't play them? It's simple. You have multiple ways to render each video.

The problem is some of those ways don't work. Try this. Get the fourcc changer. Read the 4cc header for videos that play and don't play. You will find that certain headers don't render correctly. No Problem. You can change certain headers most notably change xvid to divx and get them to play correctly. This is probably simpler than trying to re-assign the 60 or so AVI header types currently floating around. The real culprits are usually DivX 5 encodes, since there are many variations.

Ultimately you want to find out which AVI's aren't rendering properly, this will tell you what codec dll really is out of date. Cookie cutter encodes that don't understand things like keyframes and indexes. Gordion knot codec pack rules all.

Can anyone tell me how to remove all codec from my machine and start over? It's a simple process, very simple. The hard part is of course identifying what's installed. This is for W2K. Looky there Notice there is a Remove button. Now the hard part is determining what's what. The plain DLL's are usually the culprits. Thank you! Wow, that WAS easy.

I overlooked the obvious. Funny thing is, after removing all the video codecs Joined Mar 17, Messages 3, Carnival Forces Supreme [H]ardness. Joined Feb 9, Messages 4, Raaben Weaksauce. I highly reccomend it. Its a 'minimalist' codec pack that will pretty much play everything you need and has been thoroughly tested to not conflict with the various codecs included and will not screw up your system. If something wont play, Zoom Player has a control panel area that will tell you what codecs wont play on your computer and will gives you links to the codecs.

That is the suggested way to go about it. Codec packs generally cause conflicts and screw up your computer. Joined Sep 21, Messages Carnival Forces said:. Terpfen Supreme [H]ardness. When Char and I first got Sigmund, I ran around like a giddy parent telling everyone about our new little guy. One of my coworkers at MIT also has a cat or two, and so of course we gabbed about utterly inane cute things cats do. I accepted, and we added it to the pile of things we hoped Sigmund would use. You can see it in this old entry. Because of his weight, the sides fold up, and it looks like you have made a giant Sigmund taco. So char dubbed the bed The Taco. As the months went by, Sigmund basically stopped using the bed.

Like the hub , he just stopped using it after a while. Sometimes you hit fishing poles! Imagine my surprise, then, when I caught Sigmund daintly testing out the cat bed last week.
