You are no longer connected to offline files

How many computer are connected on the network? This worked without fail. I was able to join computers to the domain and they stayed on. Network response was outstanding. I went home.

I walked in to find that DHCP wasn't working. None of the clients could find the DHCP server. In addition to not being able to obtain an IP automatically, none of my virtual machines, which all have static IP addresses could be reached by any of the clients on the network.

What gives? It is also another DC. I still coudn't get DHCP. Dissolving the team and going down to one NIC helped tremendously. I then moved my DHCP server to another machine. My problems still weren't over, because all of my clients still had leases from the router that I had setup for DHCP temporarily. It took going to each client and disabling and re-enabling each NIC in order for it to drop its old lease and find the new DHCP server.

Sometimes I have to reboot the computer to clear the Offline Files message. After all this, computers join to the domain just fine and users stay connected most of the time. I still have some ghosts in the machine in the form of Offline Files messages. It will take some time before everything is cleared up, I suspect.

Privacy policy. You have Windows 7 configured for offline file synchronization to synchronize content from network shares and have it available offline.

Users notice that Windows 7 changes usually to offline mode; however Windows 7 does not switch back to online mode automatically after the network becomes available. Synchronization of the UNC path is not possible, and in the Sync Center no information is available for the offline file synchronization partnership. I have setup a new sbs server which was a migration from a Windows Server domain. The old server was demoted, renamed and then added back as a member server, to maintain a database application.

Folder redirection and offline files is setup on the old server, and enabled through group policy. Now of course, all clients that logon to the new server, are looking for the old server for the folder syncronization. I found the section in GP to edit the location of the shared folder, however, it has not seemed to have had any effect on the client side.

What am I missing here? I have seen on other questions that perhaps an edit on each client is needed to force a re-sync with the new renamed location?

Thanks for the help.
